Jombang – The English Student Association (ESA) KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah University (UNWAHA) Jombang organized a Podcasting Workshop with the theme “Empower your public speaking skills and launch your first podcast” at the campus auditorium, Sunday (29/06/2025).
The event, attended by English Education students and the general public, featured keynote speaker Mr. Budi Harjo, an English Speaking Coach from BEC Pare, renowned for his expertise in English speaking skill development.
Dean of the Faculty of Education (FIP) , Mr. M. Farid Nasrulloh, S.Pd.Si., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the event in his opening remarks.
“As Dean, I congratulate and wish success to the English study program for organizing this activity. I hope this workshop runs smoothly and participants gain abundant and blessed knowledge,” he stated.
Furthermore, the FIP Dean explained that faculty activities are designed to prepare students to contribute meaningfully to society. “Podcasting is currently very popular among people, especially on social media. Hopefully, this podcasting workshop can help implement the English study program curriculum,” he said.
Meanwhile, representing the Head of English Education Study Program, Mr. Yuyun Bahtiar, M.Pd., expressed his hope that participants would apply the knowledge gained from the workshop.
“After this event, it is hoped that participants can practice what has been shared because this is something important,” he remarked.
The workshop is expected to serve as a platform for students to develop public speaking skills while learning podcasting techniques that have become a digital communication trend in the modern era.
This activity aligns with the vision of the English Education Study Program at UNWAHA Jombang to produce competent graduates ready to face challenges in the fields of education and communication
